CoQ10 & D-Ribose

CoQ10 is the powerhouse of Revive Active. It’s a naturally occurring nutrient that plays a pivotal role in the electron transport chain that carries the energy required for efficient cell production (the identification of this was so significant that it earned Dr Peter Mitchell the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize in Chemistry).   CoQ10 decreases in the body as we age, so each daily serving of Revive Active contains 150mg of CoQ10.

D-Ribose is a sugar-like molecule that the body uses to make ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP is the body’s most basic form of energy and is the fuel burned by the cellular mitochondria. Our cells naturally produce D-Ribose, but the process is slow and different organs produce different amounts. Revive Active supplements the body’s natural D-Ribose production providing 3,000mg on a daily basis.

Vitamin C & D

Revive Active contains Vitamin C, a natural vegan form of Vitamin D3 and the natural form of Vitamin E.

Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system while Vitamin C contributes to maintaining the normal function of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise.

Vitamins C and E are Antioxidants i.e. compounds that inhibit oxidation. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that can produce free radicals, thereby leading to chain reactions that may damage the cells of organisms. In total 5 ingredients in Revive Active (Riboflavin, Vitamin C, Copper, Manganese & Selenium) contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

L-Arginine & Citrulline

L-Citrulline is a precursor to the amino acid L-Arginine which is solely responsible for the production of Nitric Oxide in the body. Nitric Oxide is a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system. It’s also a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes the inner muscles of the blood vessels, causing the vessels to widen.

In order to supplement the body’s natural production of Nitric Acid, one sachet of Revive Active contains 3g of L-Arginine and 2g of L-Citrulline dl Malate.

Revive Active also contains Thiamine which contributes to the normal function of the heart, Vitamin K2 which contributes to normal blood clotting and Vitamin B12 which contributes to normal red blood cell formation.
